Edinburgh head coach Rob Moffat has challenged his players to show the same ruthlessness they displayed in recording a record Magners League win against Connacht last September when the Galway side return to Murrayfield on Friday.
Edinburgh's eight-try 62-13 triumph 14 months ago was their biggest ever success in the tournament, and Moffat wants a repeat of the conviction that underpinned the victory as his men chase their fourth straight Magners League win at home.
"It was a terrific night for us last time against Connacht - the players gave us everything we'd asked for," the Borderer confirmed.
"We're well aware that the margin of victory that game was pretty exceptional, but the guys should be looking at the qualities that produced the result and looking to replicate them this weekend.
"If we do that, we'll give ourselves an excellent chance of winning the game and continuing that good recent run at Murrayfield.
Moffat's starting line-up for the game shows four changes from the 21-9 victory over Benetton Treviso three weeks ago.
Craig Hamilton comes into the second row in place of Scott MacLeod, while Stuart McInally, who impressed on debut for Scotland A in the win over USA Eagles last Friday, will make his first Edinburgh start at number eight. Netani Talei switches to blindside flanker as a result.
Behind the scrum, Tim Visser returns to the wing having withdrawn from the Treviso game after picking up a groin strain in the warm-up. Chris Paterson, meanwhile, has been named at full-back.
The Connacht clash could turn into a gala occasion for tighthead prop Geoff Cross, who will make his 100th Magners League appearance should he emerge from the replacements' bench.
Also among the substitutes are lock forward Steven Turnbull and winger Andrew Turbull, who are both in line to sample competitive Edinburgh action for the first time this season.
Meanwhile, Connacht coach Eric Elwood has once again blended youth and experience with his selection for Connacht's Round 9 Magners League game against Edinburgh.
Hooker Dermot Murphy wins his ninth cap for the province after impressing last week against the Ospreys, he lines up next to centurion Brett Wilkinson and former Ireland U20 Jamie Hagan in the front row.
Nikora retains the number 10 jersey after an assured kicking display last week, the 25-year old New Zealander landed all of Connacht's fifteen points in last week's narrow loss to the Ospreys.
Galway's Andrew Browne returns to the blindside of the scrum as McCarthy and Swift renew their partnership in the second row.
Brian Tuohy and Shane Monahan win their first Magners League starts of the season, both had strong performances in Connacht historic win over Samoa and join Eoin Griffin, Keith Matthews and Gavin Duffy in the back-line.

Form: Edinburgh's only defeat in their last five Magners League matches was 18-19 at Leinster in round 7. The Scotsmen have won three in a row at Murrayfield in the competition since Munster won there 16-13 on the opening weekend. Connacht lost by the narrowest of margins at home to Ospreys on Friday and are now winless in their last five Magners League matches. The Irishmen have already won in Scotland this season, having beaten Glasgow 19-17 at Firhill on 17 September. Connacht won 22-21 in Galway the last time the two teams met and are going for successive wins over Edinburgh for the first time ever.
